Like if you fond a 4 leaf clover it would bring you good luck. The best part I think is Leprechauns because they're very moody. Sometimes they can be mad or in a good mood. St. Patrick is part of luck. He showed things that were good luck. Bad luck is when something bad happens to you like if you don't pass your timed test. That happens to me a lot. Luck is very important and you're going to want it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Love By: Grace If you want someone to fall in love with you, give them chocolate. My perfect date would be in Hawaii. I would wear pants and a t-shirt and it would cost $6000. If my date turned out bad, I would step on their toe and run. I will get married in Ireland when I'm 29. I will marry a funny and nice guy. I will make love last forever by being kind. If I had a Valentine, I would give them chocolate. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Being Nice By: Grace It's important to be nice to others because they'll repay you back with kindness. For example: When I told someone I liked their earrings, they told me they liked my necklace and we became friends. Another example is: I found a bracelet that wasn't mine. I gave it to the office and they found the right owner. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A Weird Day By: Grace One day my brother was watching "Sponge Bob" when I took the remote. I quickly changed the channel and he got very very frustrated. A day later, I ruined his Playstation 2 and I put itching powder in his bed. That made him really mad! The next thing I knew, he said the magic words, "Bip, Bop, Pow!" and he turned me into a snowman. When I saw myself in the mirror, I screamed. Life as a snowman was not so good. All of my friends laughed at me and I had to sleep outside. When I saw my brother again, I yelled at him for fifteen minutes. After fifteen minutes, we sorted things out. I told him I'd clean his room for a week and I wouldn't eat all of the brownies and cake. I was worried that he wouldn't turn me back. He liked that idea, so he said the magic words, "Bip, Bop, Pow!" and turned me back into a kid again. I learned that I should treat people the way I want to be treated. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If You Give a Squirrel Some Soup By: Grace If you give a squirrel some soup, he'll probably want something cold to drink. The cold drink will make him think of Antarctica. So he'll probably want to go there. When he gets to Antarctica, he'll want to see a polar bear. The polar bear's white fur will make him think of marshmallows. If you give him some marshmallows, he'll want some cocoa to go with the marshmallows. If you give him some cocoa, he'll probably make a mess and he'll need a mop. If you give him a mop, he'll think it looks like a guitar and he'll want to pretend like he's a rock star. While he's pretending to be a rock star, he'll want a stage. If you give him a stage, he'll want some red curtains. The red curtains will make him think of going to the movies. Thinking of the movies will make him want some popcorn. The salty popcorn will make him want some ice cream. The ice cream will make him cold and he'll want to warm up. Grace moved towards the speeding ball and headed it down to Megan. Megan passed the ball to Ella, who was sprinting up the wing. When Ella reached the corner flag, she quickly crossed the dusty ball into the square. Allie, who is the fastest mid-fielder on the team, sprinted into the square to meet the incoming ball. As she jumped high to meet the ball, she was pushed by a giant mean defender from the other team. Allie fell down hard on the ground. The referee quickly and loudly blew her whistle. The ref immediately pointed towards the white penalty spot. Allie slowly stood as the coach loudly screamed, "Ashley, you take the penalty." Ashley placed the ball on the white penalty spot. She slowly took a few steps backwards and then stopped. She sprinted towards the ball, kicked it, and sent it zooming towards the back of the net and they won the game! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Do you know what mole rats do when no one is looking? They like to eat candy. They go to the movies and eat popcorn. They like to feed birds in the park. Sometimes they like to go fishing. They even like to play soccer. Hamsters like to go canoeing. But when anyone one is looking&ldots; hamsters just sit and eat seeds. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dear Mrs. Ritenour, What I like about 3rd grade is the drawings of the monsters. I like how we are going to give the clues to Mrs. Vannatter's clas and they have to try and draw our monsters. Another thing I like is the pumpkins we made for Halloween. I like how we get lockers. I like science and how we are learning about sound. I like how we got Iggy in our classroom. I liked making the M&M graphs and afterwards getting to eat them. I liked sorting and counting and finding out how many were in the bag. I definately like the prize box and the candy jar. Grace ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Our Class Web Site Our class web site has photos. There are photos of us reading, of Iggy the iguana, and all different photos. There are "Daily Goodies." There's a thing called, "Laugh Out Loud" and a "Did You Know?" If you go to "Seasonal Goodies" and click on October, there are a lot of things. One is "Make a Monster" where you get a face and you dress it up in googly things. You can put a bow tie on it. Also, there is "Monster Mash", it plays music and has funny stuff on it. It has vampire teeth that say, "Sing Along." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Iggy We have an iguana as a class pet. His name is Iggy. He's changing colors and he's orange. I think his nickname should be Piggy because he is fat. He has long nails so I don't think you want to stick your fingers in his cage. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My Talent One of my talents is soccer. I love soccer so much! It's a fun sport. My brother plays it too. He plays for the Jaguars. Another sport I do is gymnastics. A lot of my friends are there. I can do a back walk-over. I can almost do a back handspring. My coaches are nice too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My Favorite Memory My favorite school memory was in second grade when I was at recess. I was playing with Rachel and all of a sudden she call me "Pizza Head." We started laughing. We were laughing so hard that we couldn't stop. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Reading I like to read The Series of Unfortunate Events. My favorite time to read is at night in bed. I like to read stories that are funny, sad, and happy. But when no one is looking... They have wild parties. Hamsters like to go shopping. Some hamsters like to watch television. They like to eat candy. They go to the movies and eat popcorn.
