You can get someone to fall in love with you by following them and being close to them. If I had a date, I'd wear a suit. If I got mad at my date, I'd slap them. I will get married to a smart person when I'm 23. I will get married in India. I will make love last by agreeing with my wife. If I had a Valentine, I would give them a card. ---------------------------------------- Niceness By: Phalgun If you are nice to others they will be nice! If you aren't nice to other people they will be sad and you will think about that person and have to say, I'm sorry." It is important to be nice. You can't have only one friend. You can have as many as you want. Don't hang out with bullies and be mean. If you are mean, no one will play with you and you won't have any fun! If you are nice to a person, he or she might be your best friend. If a boy plays with a girl it means they are just friends. It does not mean they are in love. If a person bothers you, use DEBUG or if they hurt you, tell the teacher. You should treat others kindly and friendly. If a person is rude to you, don't play with them. When you are talking and someone interrupts, say, "Stop, I don't like it." Tell them how you feel if they don't stop. Then tell the teacher. ----------------------------------------   ---------------------------------------- If You Give a Monkey Macaroni By: Phalgun If you give a Monkey macaroni and cheese he'll want milk to go with it. After he drinks his milk, he'll want to go to sleep. If he wants to sleep, he'll ask for a pillow. If you give him a pillow, he'll go to sleep. While he sleeps, he'll get a dream that he'll go to Africa. When he dreams about Africa, he will think he is hot because it is hot there. If he is hot, he'll wake up and want some milk. If you give him some milk, chances are&ldots; he'll want some macaroni and cheese to go with it. ---------------------------------------- Alliteration A monster man got a mummy in Mississippi to eat on Mars. ---------------------------------------- Sentence Expansion At twelve o'clock, the lucky tubby monster ran sloppily around the spooky house. ---------------------------------------- Corn Snake In 3rd grade you get to feel snakes. The fifth grade gave us a snake. It was a Corn Snake and it was cool. Mrs. Ritenour said, "You get to touch it!" One girl in our class called Amelia went to touch the snake. It was creepy and the snake crawled in her shirt. Then we took the snake out or her shirt. ---------------------------------------- Sports My favorite sports are hockey, soccer, basketball, football, swinging, and riding. I play them every day. ---------------------------------------- Snow Snow is fun because you can make a snowman. Snow is not so great because you can get cold or numb. Winter started on November 16, 2005. I think the snow will end on March 22, 2006. ---------------------------------------- My Holidays One of the holidays my family celebrates is Diwali. You get crackers and they're fire. Diwali comes in November. My family celebrates this holidy by having fun. Another holiday is Halloween. We eat candy. It is on November 26th. Christmas is in December. ---------------------------------------- Thankful I am thankful for Longacre. I am thankful for my gigantic family. I am thankful for the whole world. I am thankful for my fantastic friends. ---------------------------------------- Reading My favorite place to read is inside the closet because I can have some privacy. ---------------------------------------- Fire Safety We learned about fire safety because it is important. We practiced fire drills. We also talked about stop, drop, and roll. Here are some things you should buy at home; a rope ladder, baking soda, phone, smoke alarm, fire extinguisher, and a smoke detector. We read a book called, Stop, Drop, and Roll. Then we had an assembly. Mrs. Ritenour made big letters that spelled stop, drop, and roll. We practiced with another class. These people were in the assembly; Ashwin, Manas, Stosh, Julie, Neal, Skyler, Lydia, Megan, and Uzair. It is so important to be safe. Now you know all the steps of fire safety. ---------------------------------------- I Wish I wish I could fly and I wish I could climb trees like a monkey. I wish I could get anything I want. ---------------------------------------- My Life at Home In the morning I hear, "Phalgun wake up." Then I brush my teeth and I put on the TV. I eat cereal with milk and my sister goes to school. Then I wake my dad and he says, "Go to the bath." Then I change my clothes and pack my backpack. At 8:15 I leave. I wait in the bus stop then I go to school. When I come back I study and eat while I am watching TV. I play outside. When I come home I do a bath and eat. My sister packs lunch for me tomorrow. Then I sleep. ---------------------------------------- Third Grade I like 3rd grade. It is fun. It is cool. I have nice friends and a nice teacher. I learned math and reading in 3rd grade. I learned lots of stuff in 3rd grade. I like 3rd grade because it is fun and fantastic. We watch science videos. In gym we have free play and in art we draw great pictures. In music we sing good songs. ---------------------------------------- Math We have been learning a lot about graphs. We learned about bar graphs, pictographs, and line graphs. We made our own graphs. We got two choices. We could make a bar graph or a pictograph. We are also do A.D.D. math. We have lightbulb questions. Our teacher gives us problems that we have to do in our brain. When we solve word problems we use T.I.P.S. T=thought, I=information, P=plan, and S=solution. We play fun games with math. My teacher shows a problem to two people and we get to write our answers on little marker boards. ---------------------------------------- If I Was the Teacher If I was a teacher I would give people candy and I would make a machine that could do everything. I would have a prize for whoever was good. I would teach math, reading, and social studies. ---------------------------------------- My Talent I am good at running and soccer. I like sprots. They are fun. I like basketball and jogging. ---------------------------------------- Writing I like to write. Whenever I feel happy I like to write a poem or a story. I take information from books and fill my imagination with ideas. Then I write. ---------------------------------------- What Bald Eagles Do When No One is Looking Do you know what Bald Eagles do when no one is looking? People think that Bald Eagles just fly all day. But when no one is looking.. Bald Eagles have swimming parties. They have sleep-overs. They might dress up like a bear on Halloween. Bald Eagles like to play on the computer. They go jogging. They like to play Hide and Go Seek. They go bike riding. They go to karate. But when anyone one is looking... Bald Eagles just fly around. ---------------------------------------- Important By: Phalgun The important thing about me is that I am me. I want to be a doctor, and I like to watch TV, and I like my Gameboy and swimming. But the most important thing about me is that I am me! ---------------------------------------- The First Day of School By: Palgun When I came to school I was excited because the first day is fun. But I'm a little nervous. At the bus my friends came then it was OK. Then it's third grade. Then I helped people stop being nervous. School is great.
