He had no money, he had barely any food, he didn't even have a lucky hat like the ones some people got from leprechauns. On St. Patrick's day Skyler was walking in the woods when he heard a leprechaun singing. He walked up to him and bashfully groaned, "My name is Skyler, what's yours?" "My name is Lucas Leprechaun!" "You are a leprechaun? You look funny with your tiny shoes." Lucas got mad and I mumbled, "I am poor." He gave me three magical things that made money. One was a hat. When it got tipped over it made thousands of dollars. He also gave me a magic dog that barked out millions of dollars. Last but not least, he gave me a table cloth. When it was flipped over, food would come up. The food would be delicious. I told him thank you and yelled, "Bye Lucas!" I went back to my house and started using my objects wisely. I had wonderful dinners and I liked my dog that barked out money. I also liked my hat that added more money. I lived peacefully in my wonderful house for the rest of my life. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Luck By: Skyler I think good luck means you get like a lucky charm or a four leaf clover. When I have some sort of test I have my lucky penny from my dad. I have another lucky charm that is from my mom and it is my gold and pink eraser pencil. I use those for a math test, spelling, and Apple Valley. Even gold will make me have good luck. Bad luck is when you don't have anything lucky. You don't get something like a four leaf clover for a math test or a spelling test. I don't like bad luck because it is not good to have bad luck. It is great to have good luck because you can pass tests and have money. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Reading a Story By: Skyler I like to read somewhere quiet. I like to read chapter books in my room. I like to read at night when people are asleep, like at 12:00 PM or 1:00 AM. My parents never tell me to stop reading. Sometimes a book gets me so interested that it brings me into the book. If the story is about a place that is white, cloudy, and has very grayish snow, I imagine myself there. I just think that the place was interesting and really wish I was in the book. I like to read in chairs, quiet places, on couches, on beds, and under my sheets. I like to read during the day, at night, and in the afternoon. I also like to read when people are in a different room and when they are doing something else. I love reading books because they interest me. I wish that some day I can make a book that interests somebody. I wish I could give it to poor people. I wish I could make people go into the book that I made for all of the poor people. I read so many books. I love books because I can learn thins and I can get more and more imagination. My whole family reads different kinds of books. I read The Bible. It's real and you should read that true real book too. I also read Narnia, Warriors, Harry Potter, Batman Begins, and The Boxcar Children. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Love When people are in love with each other they kiss. If you want someone to fall in love with you, you should ask them on a date. If I had a date, I'd go to Red Robins and wear a black suit. If I got mad at my date, I'd run away from them. If you want love to last forever you should be nice, help, and be happy. If I had a Valentine, I would give them chocolate and flowers. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Being Kind to Others By: Skyler It is important to be kind to people because they will be kind to you. If you are kind they will treat you kindly and nicely. If you do that they will do the same. You can sometimes make new friends. It is important to be kind so everyone is happy and so their feelings don't get hurt. I don't want anyone's feelings to get hurt. I don't want any people to be treated meanly like bullies do. I want everyone to be safe. This is what I don't want to happen to other kids: One time I was in preschool and I was playing with my friends. This big kid was trying to hurt us but we got away. I ran into the school and I told a teacher. Then the big kid got in trouble and I went back outside and played with my friends. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Alliteration In New York, a naked neighbor went to the nifty nice nurse. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If You Give a Walrus a Waffle By: Skyler If you give a walrus a waffle, he'll want some butter to go with it. If you give him some butter, he'll want some syrup too. If you give him some syrup, he'll make a big mess. Then he'll want to clean it up. So he'll ask you for a wet rag. After he cleans up his mess, he'll go crazy and start cleaning up all over the place. All that cleaning will make him tired and he'll want to take a nap. So he'll take a nap. When he wakes, he will see his butter and syrup covered rag and want more. If you give him some butter and syrup, chances are&ldots; he'll want a waffle to go with it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ About Third Grade What I think about third grade is that it is really cool. In October we do a lot of activities and they are really cool activities. One of the activities we did was make a jack-o-lantern out of paper. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ M & M Math We did math with M & M's We made a graph with our M & M's. It was cool because at the end we got to eat them. After we made our graphs we told about how many red, blue, yellow, orange, brown, and green M & M's we had. We also told the total number of M & M's. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If I had to Teach I would teach science, math, spelling, and read a book. Then I would go out for recess and eat lunch. Then I would take attendance and take the class to specials. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Reading and Writing My favorite author is Jude Watson. I read a little bit and sometimes I read a lot. My favorite book is Harry Potter. My favorite time to read is in the afternoon. I like to read series. I like to write about me. I write in the morning. Sometimes I write mysteries. I don't like sharing my writing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What Anteaters Do When No One is Looking Do you know what anteaters do when no one is looking? People think that anteaters just eat ants all day. But when no one is looking... They play football. They do flips in the air. They eat pizza. They go on computers. Anteaters write books about their life. They read. Anteaters like to dunk basketballs. Anteaters like to go to school. They play games. They have to do homework. But when anyone one is looking... anteaters just eat ants. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Important By: Sklyer The important thing about me is that I am me. I am a student, and I am a kid, and I am loved by my parents.
