I opened the refrigerator and put some milk in my glass. I looked to see if it was enough or not. It wasn't so I kept pouring. While I was pouring, I was not watching the glass so it overflowed. I was getting a lot of bad luck after all that milk spilled. I cleaned up the mess and went down the basement stairs to do something. While I was on the staircase I tripped and fell down with a big thump! I noticed I was almost all the way to the basement when I tripped. I only had two more stairs to go before I tripped. I got back up on my feet and headed downstairs to the basement. When I got to the basement, it was very dusty so I got a vacuum cleaner and vacuumed up all the dust. I forgot to vacuum up one spot where a spider lives but I did not have that in mind then. Suddenly that spider came out of the cobweb and freaked me out. I fell to the ground and yelled, "Ouch!" Then I heard some Irish music so I went outside to see what was going on. I saw a bush but there was one thing about that bush that was weird and that one thing was that the bush I saw was moving little by little. I ran to that bush as fast as I could. I peeked behind it and saw a little tunnel. I looked in that tunnel and I saw some little people in that little tunnel. One of the people was a small man with a little mustache. He was wearing green pants and a green shirt. He was a leprechaun. I didn't know that I could demand his treasure so I just told him about all of my troubles. He thought about what would help me with my problems and he finally came up with an idea. The leprechaun gave me three magic objects, a magic tissue, a magic bug extinguisher, and a magic stair gripper. He said the magic tissue would clean up any mess without getting wet. He told me to say, "Clean the mess," and it would start cleaning. The next object was a magic stair gripper. The leprechaun told me to say, "Grip, grip, grippity-grip!" and it would not let me fall. The third item was a bug extinguisher. If I wanted to use it, I had to say, "Bug extinguisher, bug extinguisher, kill all the bugs that are in my house," and all of the bugs would be gone. I told the leprechaun thank you and went home with all of the magic objects. When I got home I used my magic objects. I had no more spills, no bugs, and absolutely no tripping! I was fine and happy and glad the leprechaun had helped me. I was so happy and my happiness lasted my whole lifetime. My life had turned around from bad luck to good. I was so glad that my life turned opposite. I never knew that I could be so happy before and I was happy that the leprechaun had helped me. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Love You can get someone to fall in love with you by trying to kiss them on the lips. When I have a date, I will go to a restaurant. I will wear dress pants and a dress shirt. If I decide I don't like my date, I will walk away. When I'm 15, I will get married at the marriage place to someone cute with brown eyes. If I had a Valentine, I would give them a kiss. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kindness By: Uzair If you do not treat others kindly you might hurt their feelings. You have to be careful about what you say. I also think being kind is a good thing to do. When you are kind to other people they will be kind to you. When other people are kind to you, you will like it. That's why people say be nice to others and they will treat you nicely. So, if you want other people to be nice to you, be nice to them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If You Give a Chicken Some Chips By: Uzair If you give a chicken some chips, he will get thirsty. If he gets thirsty, he will want some juice. If you give him some juice, he will probably spill it. Then he'll ask for a bunch of napkins. After that he will want to play tag. Playing tag will make him thirsty, so he will ask for some juice. If you give him some juice, chances are&ldots; he'll ask for some chips to go with it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Alliteration The baker baked baskets full of blueberry muffins at his bakery on Blue Boulevard. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sentence Expansion At midnight, the heavy gummy monster ran magically over the haunted bridge. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dear Mrs. Ritenour, I think 3rd grade is cool because the science center has those wasp hives. Well I'm not sure if they are wasp hives but anyway I like them. I also like the computers because of our web site. I miss Iggy. I wish he was still here. One time I was at the science center and I picked up a sea shell and I heard the sea shore. I also like the fish tank because I like watching fish. Sincerely, Uzair ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What We Are Learning in Gym In gym we are learning the foot dribble. Everytime somebody passes the yellow cone the next person goes. Mr. Wind shapes the cone in an "M" and we kick the soccer ball and pass it to the other foot. We keep doing it in the shape of an "M" until Mr. Wind tells us to stop. Sometimes we kick the ball to the wall and we try to hit the mat and try to score. We go to gym from 10:15-10:55. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My Talent I am good at running. It is like so fun for me. When I run I get so much cold air. I feel like a car. Running is so important to me. It feels like if you are first you will win $1,000,000. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Reading I don't read very much. I only read sometimes. I read chapter books. I have my own library card to the city library, but I lost it. I think my dad's going to get a new one for me. My sister still has her card. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What Iguanas Do When No One is Looking Do you know what iguanas do when no one is looking? People think that iguanas just sleep all day. But when no one is looking... Sometimes an iguana might act like a walrus. They like to go to the movies. They walk on stilts. Sometimes they do puppet shows. They want to be the iguana President. They make up plays about frogs kissing a prince. Sometimes they sell fruit at the market. They like to do science. They play Monopoly. They get on the internet. But when anyone one is looking... iguanas just sleep. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Important By: Uzair The important thing about me is that I am me. I like bees, and math, and swimming, and writing.
